Do you feel it? The wild whisper and sacred tug for more?
The low rumble of dissatisfaction began vibrating through my days a while ago. Despite my go-to remedies for the “Blahs” as I’ve affectionately christened them, they’ve refused to quieten, squatting illegally in my otherwise wonderfully normal life.
Maybe dissatisfaction is too strong a word. Disquiet? A whisper or echo of a forgotten aliveness? A tug towards something deeper?
Perhaps.
Whatever we name it, many of us are circling back to the realization that we have more life to live, more to give, and love. In the famous words of the man being carted away in the dead collector’s wagon in Monty Python’s Holy Grail, my inner voice screamed, I’m not dead yet!
There’s much I don’t know, but what I know for sure is …
🌳 There's a sacred ache for more within us all.
🌳 We feel its tug yet, no matter what we do, it remains stubbornly out of reach.
🌳 We’re fed up with doing all the "right things," nervous we'll miss all God has for us, and frustrated that a grown-assed human like ourselves hasn't figured it out yet.
If this sounds familiar, welcome to The WildlyKnown Life, a gathering for anyone wanting to live the wild, vibrant life we were created for
Each week, we’ll be figuring out how to stop second-guessing or falling for unicorn answers and respond with an imperfect yes.
We’ll be chatting with God, often in nature, and hanging out where science, nature, and spirituality usher us into the life Jesus has for us, one we’ve mostly forgotten is ours to live.
If you’re feeling that rumble of dissatisfaction and the sacred tug for more, make sure to subscribe to The WildlyKnown Life and become part of The WildlyKnown Life Community.
The good news is you don't need to change your entire life to tend to this wild whisper.
Simply listen out for the wild whisper and together we’ll figure out how to live the WildlyKnown Life, and tend to the sacred tug for more within us all.
Who Am I?
My official bio will tell you I’m a best-selling author, speaker, coach, and relentless encourager who’s studied theology at Oxford University, written award-nominated books, hosted a podcast and summit, and been on TV and radio in places intended to impress you.
But that’s just a small part of me.
As a science-loving fresh air junkie who wanted to be the next Sir David Attenborough, my favorite places are where science, faith, and nature usher us into more of who and what we’re created for, and where we can show up just as we are, confident we’re loved and seen. They’re where friends laugh and cry, debate and pray, and where kindness rules.
For want of a better name, I call this living The Wildly Known Life.
If we were standing here 👆 by my Awe + Wonder Tree or hugging a warm cup of tea on our porch, you’d soon figure out that I’m what you call a WYSIWYG kind of gal.
What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) means I’m not good at putting on airs and graces, pretending I’m not as screwed up as the next person, or only showing the glossy side of life to the world.
If you’re after a guru, professor, or influencer with all the answers, I’m afraid I’m not it.
Think of me as part BFF, part spiritual cheerleader, and part wilderness guide, who’s inviting you to journey with her into this new adventure.
I can’t wink. No, I really can’t. I just blink, so please don’t ask!
I’d rather run trails with my dogs than get my nails done.
My only claim to fame is being in the same grade as actress Rachel Weisz (who’s married to Bond star Daniel Craig).
I nearly drowned in a rip tide on a gap year in Australia. Not fun!
I once stole a bra. A very unsexy bra. An accident, I promise.
My American accent is absolutely terrible.
Now we’re friends …
